Library

The Library resources comprise of over 10000 volumes, 106 journals / magazines and over 1000 CDs. Students have access to this modern, well-stocked library with computerized search and retrieval facilities. The rapidly expanding library subscribes to a large number of national and international journals. The library also provides supportive services such as Reprographic service, Internet service and Reference service for effective use of available resources. In addition, the library also subscribes to online resources such as EBSCO research databases, CAPITALINE corporate databases and ECCH. Apart from this, the central library is open till 8.30 p.m. thereby offering access to students over extended hours. This is spread over 2000 square meters and has 40000 volumes, 577 journals (print and digital) and around 2500 DVDs / CDs.

Computer Lab

A thoroughly modern Computer centre, consisting of the latest in hardware and licensed software, is the backbone to the development of students at the institution towards IT competence.

Full access to the labs and the Internet have enabled a high IT component in the course delivery in the campus. The Intranet is utilized to post course material, lesson outlines, assignments and other useful information for easy access by the students.

Class Rooms

Classrooms are typically designed to accommodate 60 students and provide an optimum seating arrangement. The open environment outside provides serenity and fresh unpolluted air. Our Seminar Hall on Campus is the venue for many Seminars, Workshops, and Visiting faculty interactions. The plethora of events including the student activities marks out the Seminar Hall as the most popular sites on Campus. The student activity is vibrant with frequent programs, quizzes, debates, music and dance.

Hostels

Separate hostel facilities for girls and boys are available. The hostel offers 24 hours broadband internet connectivity in all rooms. Separate mess for the hostel students provides excellent and nutritious food for the students. The fully air-conditioned central library is open till 8.00 PM for access by hostel students. The hostel students can also avail "after college" hours at the central lab. A separate gymnasium for girls and boys is available for physical development of the students. The students staying per room is restricted to two so that the students enjoy proper facilities and the rooms are not over crowded. The rooms are well ventilated and the hostel students can avail the medical facilities provided in the hostel itself.

Transport

A fleet of buses ferry the students to the college safely and comfortably. Bus routes are available to every nook and corner of the city thus making the SSN transport system one of the best among the colleges operating from the suburbs of Chennai.

Cafeteria

A hygienic, well-furnished and well-equipped canteen is available in the campus to provide food at highly subsidized rates for the staff and students. Good quality drinking water is supplied in the college, hostel and canteen.

Sports

Excellent facilities are available for development of skills in the arena of sports. A state-of-the-art indoor sports facility with modern gym is available within the campus for games such as Table Tennis, Squash, Basketball and Badminton. The campus also has facilities for outdoor games such as Cricket, Football and Volleyball.

Auditorium

The modern auditorium with a seating capacity of 1000 and centrally air-conditioned is undoubtedly the crown jewel of the SSN campus. The large lobbies are an ideal layout for exhibitions. A variety of activities from College culturals to International conferences have been held here. Many CEOs and dignitaries have graced this venue, the most prominent being Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, His Excellency, the Former President of India. A mini auditorium with a 300-seating capacity is also available at our disposal.
