Profile

Dr. Sivakumar obtained his PhD from IIT, Bombay (1987). He Specializes in mathematical modelling and simulation as applied to process industries. Dr. Sivakumar has wide development experience from various projects ranging from developing process control and simulation systems to architecting and developing large scale business applications. He was one of the early adapters of Rational's methodologies and tools in the development environmnet.

Dr. Sivakumar joined Rational in 1999 and functioned as TechLead in India. He took the role of Senior Software IT Architect in the IBM Software Group when IBM took over Rational. He had been an adjunct faculty to various Educational Institutions since 2002. He joined SoMCA in February, 2010 as a full time faculty. His areas of interests are software architecture and methods.
