Profile
Mr. R. Kannan
has done his B.Sc.(Engineering – Electrical),. MBA, and B.L. from Patna
University. He has also qualified in various certification examinations,
e.g. SLET(State Level Eligibility Test), German language, ISO (Internal and
Lead Auditor Programs). At present he is holding the position of Management
Representative of the ISO cell in addition to his other regular duties in
the college. He has over twenty years of technical,
administrative/managerial and legal experience spanning the in the areas of
operations and maintenance of Super grid substations and power systems at
Bihar State Electricity Board, Advocate at Madras High Court and Vice
Principal at Raja Rajeshwari Engineering College.
He joined SSNCE as Assistant professor and HOD of EEE department in 1999. He is joined SoMCA in 2001 and currently Associate Professor in MBA Department. His areas of interest are: Supply Chain Management, Strategic Human Resource Management, Quality Management, Legal Aspects of Business, Industrial Relations and Labour Laws and has handled courses in these areas.
Special Project/Assignments
o Established ISO Quality system at SSN Institutions.
o Established Power Electronics and Workshop Labs in the EEE department.
o Augmented 220/132 KV Grid Sub Station at Bodh Gaya, Bihar State Electricity Board (BSEB), Bihar
o Instrumental in setting up of Power system and load Dispatch cell at BSEB
o Designed and developed EHV transmission lines at BSEB.
